Philippe Abimelec M.D
Dr. Philippe
Abimelec was born and raised in Paris, France where he currently
practices the specialty of dermatology, he is also a consultant in
nail diseases and surgery at Saint-Louis Hospital. Dr. Abimelec received
his M.D. degree from René Descartes University in 1984 where
he graduated. He completed his dermatology residency at Saint-Louis
Hospital followed by a fellowship with Dr Bernard Ackerman at New-York
University Medical Center. Over the past several years, Dr. Abimelec
has engaged in teaching courses at Lariboisière Saint-Louis
and Pitié-Salpétrière Universities. In addition,
he has lectured in Europe and North America at universities and medical
meetings, including the American of Academy of Dermatology and the
European Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Abimelec academic work pertaining
to nail diseases has been presented at professional meetings and
published in peer-reviewed medical journals. Active
in a variety of professional societies, Dr. Abimelec is a fellow
of the Société Française
de Dermatologie, the American Academy of Dermatology, the Canadian Dermatology Association, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the International Society for Hair Restoration surgery, the Council
for Nail Disorders and the European Nail Society.
